F.A.Q.
-
Will the therapist maintain my privacy and confidentiality?Yes, absolutely. The therapist is here to assist you on your journey to health and well-being. We do not believe in gossiping about our clients. Whatever you share with your therapist, whether health-related or in session conversations, will be kept in complete confidentiality.
-
How am I draped for the session?Your body is never completely exposed. Only the areas that the therapist is working on will be uncovered keeping all other areas draped with the sheet. Genitals and women’s breasts are kept covered at all times. Your comfort and privacy is of utmost importance to us. If for any reason, you are not comfortable with the style of draping, speak with your therapist and they will modify it immediately.
-
Do I need to undress? You may choose to be totally or partially undressed for your session. The therapist will leave the area so that you may disrobe to your level of comfort. You will then get on the massage table and cover yourself with the sheet/blanket provided. You may wear gym shorts or underwear if this feels more comfortable.
-
Are these massage sessions sensual?Massage sessions are therapeutic, healing sessions with the sole purpose of helping you achieve total well-being. They are NOT sensual in nature and sexual harassment is not tolerated. The session will end immediately if the therapist feels the client’s intent is something other than a therapeutic massage session.
-

-
How do I cancel an appointment? If for any reason, you need to cancel your appointment, please call 24 hours in advance so that clients in need have the opportunity to schedule a service. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 50% of the session fee. Please avoid this by calling us.

How do I prepare for the massage session? Please be clean, having showered the same day as the treatment. A shower shortly before your appointment may enhance the enjoyment of your session, but it is not required. Do not eat a heavy meal for at least one hour before your session. Do not arrive under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. Your session will be terminated immediately. If this is your first time, please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment so that you may complete a Health History Intake Form. (For repeat clients, please arrive 5-10 minutes before your session.) Please turn off your cell phone upon arrival. This time is for you. You will find the session more enjoyable without interruptions.
-

-
Can I receive massage if I have a medical condition? Please consult with your primary health care provider PRIOR to scheduling a session to determine if massage is safe and healthy for you. Please inform your therapist of any restrictions so that the session may be adjusted for you. Update your therapist on future visits about any changes to your health that would affect your ability to receive massage safely.
-
What if I don’t like the pressure or technique being used?Your satisfaction and enjoyment of the session is important to us. Please feel free to discuss with the therapist adjusting the pressure or choosing a different technique that feels better to you. They are more than happy to accommodate you.
-
Can I bring other people with me?For you to receive the maximum benefits of a therapeutic, relaxing massage, it is best to leave the world behind for a little while. Children, pets and other family members are not permitted during your appointment. Please bring only yourself to the session. We cannot accommodate other guests except under special circumstances. Please discuss with the therapist if you have special needs that require the assistance of another individual.
